Description

This pendant reproduces the imagery of an ancient Macedonian coin issued in the name of Alexander the Great.

The observe portrays the young Herakles wearing the skin of the Nemean lion, recalling the heroic ancestry claimed by the Macedonian royal dynasty.

On the reverse, Zeus is seated on his throne, holding an eagle in his outstretched right hand and a sceptre in his left-one of the most recognisable designs of Alexander’s coinage.

A carefully crafted, two-sided jewel that preserves the historical character of the original coin.
